Theater for a New Audience – In the middle of a revitalized section of what is now known as the Brooklyn Cultural Center, we took part in the building of the Core and Shell of this American Classic Theater that was built to develop and vitalize the performance and study of Shakespeare and classical drama.
Our work included the installation of a new concrete building foundation which included support of excavation work; pile installation; excavation; and the installation of reinforced concrete foundation walls, and a reinforced concrete mat slab. We also took part in the construction of the building’s superstructure in which we poured thousands of SF of concrete slabs on metal deck and expansive areas of concrete acoustical isolation slabs typically found in Theaters.
Finally, we performed all site drainage, concrete curb installation, sidewalk installation, and final grading for site finishes by others. All of our work was performed with the high quality required for such an Architectural masterpiece and to the rave reviews of both the Owner and the Construction Manager.
